Primus Multifamily is a modern property management firm built on a clear conviction: when people thrive, properties perform. Our leadership brings decades of experience in multifamily operations, marketing, and strategic management. We combine disciplined systems with a people-centered philosophy that strengthens communities, supports onsite teams, and delivers long-term value for owners and investors.

Our Story

We knew we could do better. So we built it ourselves.

Primus Multifamily was created to redefine what property management should be: intentional, personal, transparent, and grounded in service. In 1997, we began to invest in distressed multifamily assets impacted by the Charleston Naval Base closure. We outsourced property management to third party providers, but we were not satisfied. Residents felt overlooked. On site teams lacked real support. Communication was lacking. As owners, we thought performance could be better.

That’s when we chose to bring management in house, to align operations with ownership.

What started as a necessity for our own portfolio has now become a blueprint for a new standard of management. Primus pairs the discipline and infrastructure of a larger management firm with the heart, attention, and accountability of a regional owner-operator.

With clear processes, modern systems, and hands-on leadership, we deliver a high-performance management solution.
